Regular Season Round 15: Shimane SM - Fukuoka Rizing 82-71

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (5-8) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Shimane Magic (7-6) 82-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Fukuoka Rizing was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Shimane Magic especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. It was a great evening for American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Jun Abe (177-86) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Keisuke Takahata (183-90) scored 22 points. Shimane Magic maintains sixth place with 7-6 record, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls and Kanazawa Samuraiz. Fukuoka Rizing lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Shimane Magic will face again Fukuoka Rizing (#8) at home in the next round.
