Regular Season Round 9: Hogsbo - Talje 61-49

An interesting game for Hogsbo (11-0) which hosted in Goteborg 4th placed Talje Knights (5-2). Leader Hogsbo managed to get a 12-point victory 61-49. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Talje Knights. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 61-49. Hogsbo dominated on the defensive end, holding Talje Knights to just 6 points in second quarter. American forward R.J. Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side and Lucas Brehm (-91) accounted for 22 points and 7 rebounds. Hogsbo's coach Jonas Fredrikson used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. point guard Henrik Sjolin (183-97) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Michiel Petersen (202-94) added 6 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Talje Knights in the defeat. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Hogsbo. Newly promoted Hogsbo maintains first place with 11-0 record. Loser Talje Knights keep the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with KFUM Uppsala. Hogsbo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Talje Knights will play against IK Eos (#3) in Lund and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
