Regular Season Round 11: Centrum - Gimle BBK 101-94

Date: November 14, 2015
There was a small surprise in Oslo where ninth ranked Centrum (3-3) defeated 7th ranked Gimle BBK (3-6) 101-94 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gimle BBK won third quarter 26-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum made 28-of-30 free shots (93.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for forward Anders Stien (195-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points. Point guard Harald Frey (182-97) helped adding 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Centrum's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Daniel Berg (195-86, college: NYIT) responded with 29 points and guard Mikkel Kolstad (184-95) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Centrum moved-up to seventh place. Loser Gimle BBK dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Centrum will meet at home Fyllingen BBK (#10) in the next round. Gimle BBK will play against the league's second-placed Tromso and will have a slim chance for a victory.
