Regular Season Round 7: RC Celta - ADBA 52-53

ADBA can celebrate finally their first win this season after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Vigo, where they edged Real Celta Vigo (1-6) 53-52. Real Celta Vigo was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 12-10 charge of ADBA, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian forward Davorka Balic (188-88) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Andrea Malanda (164-90) accounted for 10 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American-Nigerian guard Sarah Ogoke (175-90, college: So.Poly State) came up with 24 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Angela Coello (-97) added 2 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Real Celta Vigo in the defeat. ADBA left bottom position moving up to tenth place in Group A, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Real Celta Vigo. ADBA's next round opponent will be higher ranked Arxil Pontevedra (#8) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
