Regular Season Round 10: Udominate - Akropol 102-48

Bottom-ranked Akropol (0-11) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to second ranked Udominate (9-1) 102-48 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Udominate led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Akropol's 24. Udominate forced 32 Akropol turnovers and outrebounded them 35-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Akropol's players. International guard Frida Aili (180-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 29 points and 9 steals to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Agnes Nordstrom (180-88) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Udominate players scored in double figures. Coach Tamara Ruzic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Maria Melkon (165-89) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Hanna Isaksson (191-90) scored 14 points. Udominate have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-1 record having just three points less than leader Lulea Basket. Loser Akropol still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Udominate will face again bottom-ranked Akropol (#10) in Spanga in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Akropol will play at home against Visby Ladies and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
