There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Cagliari CUS (3-4) defeated at home higher ranked Di Lupari (4-3) 69-65 on Saturday. Di Lupari was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Cagliari CUS made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Di Lupari turnovers. American point guard Samantha Prahalis (170-90, college: Ohio St., agency: LBM Management) fired 32 points (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Bosnian center Nikolina Milic (191-94, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Jasmine Bailey (172-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Jori Davis (175-89, college: Indiana, agency: LBM Management) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Cagliari CUS. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Parma and Torino. Loser Di Lupari keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Cagliari CUS will face Battipaglia (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Di Lupari will play against Parma (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
