Bottom-ranked Aris Petropolis (0-5) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to ninth ranked Terpsithea (2-4) 77-55. Terpsithea forced 26 Aris Petropolis turnovers and outrebounded them 49-29 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Terpsithea players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Amelia Simmons (181-87, college: Wilmington, DE) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds. The other American import center Akila McDonald (193-91, college: S.Florida) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Terpsithea players scored in double figures. Guard Natali Plumbi (169-81) replied with 14 points and 9 assists and Nikolina Ioannidou (175-94) added 13 points in the effort for Aris Petropolis. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Terpsithea moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kronos AD. Newly promoted Aris Petropolis still closes the standings with five games lost. Terpsithea's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Panathinaikos in Athens and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Aris Petropolis will play at home against Ippokratis (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
