Regular Season Round 12: Toyota B SR - Denso Iris 80-75

The most important game in the last round took place in Aichi between third ranked Denso Iris (9-3) and eighth ranked Toyota B SR (5-7) on Sunday night. Denso Iris were defeated by Toyota B SR in a tough game on the road 75-80. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Denso Iris. Denso Iris trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 27-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-80 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Yui Kawahara (169-91) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) who added 26 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and international center Sakura Akaho (182-96) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Toyota B SR moved-up to seventh place. Denso Iris at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Toyota B SR are looking forward to face league's leader JX-Eneos S. in Kashiwa in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Denso Iris will have a break next round.
