Regular Season Round 16: Bambitious Nara - Kanazawa Samuraiz 74-75 OT

Bambitious Nara (#10) forced the game against Kanazawa Samuraiz (#7) into an overtime, but lost by one point 74-75. The game took place in Nara. But the guests from Ishikawa were better at the end. Bambitious Nara was tied at the half and again at the end of regular time. But they could not keep up in overtime eventually losing that period 7-8. The winners were led by American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds and guard Yuji Yuji (181-88) supported him with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Kanazawa Samuraiz's coach Yukinori Suzuki allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by Higuchi Mato did not help to save the game for Bambitious Nara. Terashita Futoshimoto added 16 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Kanazawa Samuraiz (8-6) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls and Shimane SM. Bambitious Nara at the other side keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Kanazawa Samuraiz's next round opponent will be higher ranked Osaka Evessa (#3) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
