Regular Season Round 8: Ortona - Campli 67-79

Another exciting game was between fifth ranked Campli and 6th ranked Ortona where Campli (6-2) beat Ortona (5-3) on the road 79-67. Ortona was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Giovanni Fattori (203-85, agency: SPORTlab Agency) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Christian DiGiuliomaria (210-79) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Campli players scored in double figures. point guard Fabrizio Gialloreto (185-87) replied with 20 points and center Raffaele Martone (208-90) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Ortona. Ortona's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Campli moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Bergamo and Milano Urania. Ortona at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Crema. Campli will play against league's leader Montegrano in Montenegrano in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ortona will play at home against Senigallia (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
