Regular Season Round 9: Lobas - Trelleborg 84-99

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Lobas (2-7) lost to eighth ranked Trelleborg (3-3) in Lomma 84-99 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Trelleborg. Lobas was better in third quarter 33-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trelleborg dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Lobas' 34. It was a good game for guard Papy Ndiaye (187-94) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) and 8 assists. Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Trelleborg players scored in double figures. Martin Nilsson (-92) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Ted Cedermarker (182-79) added 22 points in the effort for Lobas. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Trelleborg moved-up to seventh place. Lobas lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Trelleborg will face higher ranked Koping (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
