Regular Season Round 7: AZS PGd - TKM Wloclawek 88-65

Very predictable result in Gdansk where fifth ranked AZS PGd (5-2) smashed 10th ranked TKM Wloclawek (2-5) 88-65 on Sunday. AZS PGd made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Lukasz Jaskiewicz (202-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Aleksander Lebiedzinski (195-93) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four AZS PGd players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Grzegorz Soltysiak (198-87) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Stefan Marchlewski (182-98) scored 13 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for AZS PGd. They moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with AZS UMK Torun and Pelplin. Newly promoted TKM Wloclawek dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. AZS PGd will face Pelplin (#4) in Pelpin in the next round. TKM Wloclawek will play at home against the league's leader Kotwica (#1) and hope to win that game.
