Regular Season Round 9: Soles - Halc.Rojos 90-84

LNBP top team - Soles (8-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Halcones Rojos (4-5) in Mexicali 90-84. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Halcones Rojos. Halcones Rojos were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. International Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) chipped in 17 points and 5 blocks. Four Soles players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Colombian power forward Cesar Cortes (200-81) with 22 points and American-Puerto Rican Michael Rosario (190-90, college: Florida) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Soles have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Halcones Rojos at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Soles will again play against Halcones Rojos (#6) in Veracruz in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Halcones Rojos will have a break next round.
