The game in Trikallon supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Olympiacos (5-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Aiolos Trikallon (2-4). Olympiacos did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. Aiolos Trikallon was better in fourth quarter 25-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olympiacos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Olympiacos made 8 blocks. Serbian center Nikola Milutinov (212-94) scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Evangelos Mantzaris (196-90) chipped in 8 points and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Demitrius Conger (198-90, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 15 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 5-1 record behind leader AEK Athens. Aiolos Trikallon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with four games lost. Olympiacos will face Koroivos (#4) at home in the next round. Aiolos Trikallon will play against AGOR (#11) in Rethymno and hope to win that game.
