Regular Season Round 7: Wisla Krakow - Cieszyn 78-80

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Cieszyn (4-3) edged on the road 10th ranked Wisla Krakow (2-5) 80-78 on Sunday. Strangely Wisla Krakow outrebounded Cieszyn 48-30 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Michal Kuboszek (178-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 assists. Forward Leszek Siwy (196-83) helped adding 15 points. Four Cieszyn players scored in double figures. Cieszyn's coach Lukasz Kuboszek used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side guard Rafal Zglobicki (196-94) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and forward Mateusz Piotrowski (198-88) scored 6 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Cieszyn moved-up to fourth place in Group C, which they share with Zaglebie. Loser Wisla Krakow keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Cieszyn will face Alba Chorzow (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Wisla Krakow will play against AZS PS Gliwice and hope to win that game.
