Regular Season Round 10: Lulea Basket - Akropol 128-49

Damligan top team - Lulea Basket (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Akropol (0-11) 128-49. The game without a history. Lulea Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Akropol to just 7 points in first quarter. Lulea Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Akropol's 26. Lulea Basket forced 23 Akropol turnovers and outrebounded them 62-10 including a 30-0 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 23 long-distance shots on high 53.5 percentage. Lulea Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 41 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Akropol's players. Belgian point guard Julie Vanloo (172-93) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The former international guard Martina Stalvant (176-89, agency: Two Points) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists. Five Lulea Basket players scored in double figures. Lulea Basket's coach Jens Tillman felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Maria Melkon (165-89) produced 16 points and Greek guard Valeria Sella (178-92) added 10 points respectively for lost side.
