Regular Season Round 7: Ullern - Gimle 70-58

Date: November 15, 2015
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ullern as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ullern defeated 3rd placed Gimle in Oslo 70-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gimle. The game was mostly controlled by Ullern. Gimle managed to win third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Gimle to just 7 points in first quarter. Ullern forced 19 Gimle turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for the former international guard Tina Moen (180-86, college: IPFW) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The former international power forward Tori Halvorsen (183-88, college: American) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Ullern players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Ingrid Gjerdevik (169-92) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and forward Katrine Fjaerestad (175-90) scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Ullern (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Gimle at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
