Regular Season Round 8: Valencia II - Almassera 60-69

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Almassera (5-1) beat on the road 4th ranked Valencia-2 (3-3) 69-60 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Dutch forward Jordan Kaspers (197-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Roger Archiles (192-88) who added 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. point guard Miguel Martinez (183-95) responded with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Josep Puerto (199-99) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Almassera maintains second position in Group E with 5-1 record having just -2 victories less than leader Andujar. Loser Valencia-2 dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Almassera will face Myrtia (#4) in Murcia in the next round. Valencia-2 will play on the road against Sagunto in Gilet and hope to win that game.
