Regular Season Round 12: Niigata R. - JX-Eneos S. 49-91

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (10-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Niigata R. (0-12) in Tokyo 91-49. The game was mostly controlled by JX-Eneos S.. Niigata R. was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Niigata R. to just 2 points in first quarter. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata R.'s 36. They outrebounded Niigata R. 55-31 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. JX-Eneos S. players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Niigata R.'s players. The winners were led by the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who scored that evening 23 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) supported her with 14 points and 10 rebounds. They share the position with Haneda Vickies. JX-Eneos S. will play against Toyota B SR (#7) in Aichi in the next round where they are favorite. Niigata R. will play at home against Toyota A. (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
