Regular Season Round 6: Elitzur Yavne - Hapoel B/S 79-98

Another interesting game for Hapoel B/S (5-1) which played on the court of one of their biggest challengers Elitzur Yavne (4-2). Fifth ranked Hapoel B/S had an easy win 98-79. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Hapoel B/S shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Elitzur Yavne's players. Center Anton Shoutvin (206-89) scored 21 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Elad Hofman (192-85) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Hapoel B/S players scored in double figures. Hapoel B/S's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American Chris Gaston (201-89, college: Fordham) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and Yaniv Solomon (-94) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Hapoel B/S have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Galil Gilboa and Ironi K-A. Elitzur Yavne at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Hapoel B/S will play against Hasharon (#9) in Hod Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Elitzur Yavne will play on the road against Ironi Ramat Gan (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
