Date: November 17, 2015
There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Bnei Hasharon (3-4) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Hapoel Eilat (3-4) 84-75 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-75. International Elishay Kadir (202-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Amit Simhon (198-89, agency: Avi Zilberman) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Bnei Hertzeliyya. Hapoel Eilat will meet higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
