Regular Season Round 6: GOCOR-Sozh - Prinemanye 79-82

Prinemanye can celebrate finally their first win this season after four consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Gomel, where they edged GOCOR-Sozh (0-5) 82-79. The guests were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 29-19 GOCOR-Sozh's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 82-79 at the end of the game. Prinemanye forced 24 GOCOR-Sozh turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Victor Ilyukevich (203-94) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Yauheni Drobau (183-94) contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. point guard Tsimafei Viaroukin (187-93) replied with 30 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Artem Stankevich (185-95) added 25 points and 6 assists in the effort for GOCOR-Sozh. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Prinemanye (1-4) left bottom position moving up to seventh place. It was GOCOR-Sozh's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Prinemanye will play against league's second-placed COR-Borisfen in Mogilev in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. GOCOR-Sozh will play at home against Vitebsk (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
