Regular Season Round 12: Asker Aliens - Eidsvoll 77-69

Bottom-ranked Eidsvoll is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to seventh ranked Asker Aliens (4-3) 77-69. The hosts were already 22 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 26-12 Eidsvoll's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 77-69 at the end of the game. Asker Aliens dominated on the defensive end, holding Eidsvoll to just 7 points in first quarter. They also forced 20 Eidsvoll turnovers and outrebounded them 40-20 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 assists and DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (203-82) who added 11 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Asker Aliens' coach Rob Knight used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American forward Joseph Nwabuzor (192-85) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward James Johnson (201-91, college: CS Fullerton) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Centrum. Newly promoted Eidsvoll still closes the standings with seven games lost. Asker Aliens will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Eidsvoll will play at home against Kongsberg (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
