An interesting game for Perth Wildcats (8-4) which played road game in Findon against 4th placed Adelaide 36ers (6-6). Second ranked Perth Wildcats managed to get a 6-point victory 94-88. The guests were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 19-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. Perth Wildcats outrebounded Adelaide 36ers 39-28 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Jermaine Beal (191-87, college: Vanderbilt) fired 16 points and 9 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Casey Prather (196-91, college: Florida) chipped in 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Perth Wildcats' coach Trevor Gleeson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) produced 21 points and 4 assists and international guard Adam Gibson (188-86) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perth Wildcats maintains second place with 8-4 record behind leader United. Adelaide 36ers at the other side keep the fourth position with six games lost. Perth Wildcats' next round opponent will be New Zealand Breakers (#3) in Auckland, which may be the game of the day.
