Regular Season Round 12: Aalstar - Kangoeroes 70-77

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Okapi Aalstar (4-4) against tenth ranked Kangoeroes (2-7) on Friday night. Host Okapi Aalstar was defeated by Kangoeroes in a tough game in Aalst 70-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Okapi Aalstar. Okapi Aalstar was ahead by 9 points after three quarters before a 28-12 charge of Kangoeroes, which allowed them to win the game. American players dominated also this game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Tony Wroblicky (208-92, college: American) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Vernon Taylor (192-87, college: Troy) who added 16 points during the contest. Four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Pensack Sports) with 16 points and forward Abe Lodwick (201-88, college: Washington St.) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Okapi Aalstar's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kangoeroes maintains tenth position with 2-7 record. Okapi Aalstar at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Verviers-Pep. and Mons-Hainaut. Kangoeroes will play against bottom-ranked Leuven Bears (#11) at home in the next round. Okapi Aalstar will play against Liege Basket (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
