Regular Season Round 11: Halc.Rojos - Panteras 97-94

A very interesting game took place in Veracruz. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Panteras (2-7) to sixth ranked Halcones Rojos (5-6) 97-94 on Friday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Omar Thomas (196-82, college: UTEP) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. International guard Jose Estrada (194-94, college: High School) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. The former international Oscar Alejandro Perez Zarco (205-85) came up with 25 points and 4 assists and American guard Dijon Farr (201-91, college: Ark.-Fort Smith) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Panteras in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Halcones Rojos moved-up to fifth place. Panteras at the other side dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Halcones Rojos' next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked Panteras (#11) in Aguascalientes which should be theoretically an easy game.
