Very expected game in Poznan where 14th ranked Biofarm PZN (3-8) was defeated by eighth ranked Astoria Bydg. (6-5) 71-62 on Saturday. Astoria Bydg. forced 19 Biofarm PZN turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Biofarm PZN's players. The best player for the winners was Piotr Robak (194-91) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Hubert Mazur (190-84, agency: Promotex) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with GKS Tychy and Spojnia. Biofarm PZN lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Astoria Bydg. will face higher ranked Legia W-wa (#5) in Warszawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Biofarm PZN will play on the road against Nysa Klodzko (#12) in Kloszko and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
