Regular Season Round 8: Al-Qazeres - Araski AES 77-67

LF2 top team - Al-Qazeres (8-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Araski AES (4-4) in Caceres 77-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Araski AES. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Al-Qazeres dominated on the defensive end, holding Araski AES to just 4 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Araski AES 53-24 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of forward Veronica Sanchez (179-85, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) who added 14 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. Forward Ane Aldalur (178-89) responded with 12 points and Argentinian forward Maria Lineira (181-83) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al-Qazeres have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 8-0 record. Araski AES at the other side keeps the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Arxil Pontev.. Al-Qazeres will play against Cortegada (#11) in Vilagarcia Arousa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Araski AES will play at home against Oviedo (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
