Regular Season Round 7: Aris - Kavala 68-50

Not a big story in a game in Thessaloniki where 14th ranked Kavala (1-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Aris (5-2) 68-50 on Saturday. Aris outrebounded Kavala 44-30 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Okaro White (206-92, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) fired 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Dominic Waters (185-86, college: Portland St.) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. American forward Rob Jones (196-89, college: St.Mary's, CA) produced 7 points and 6 rebounds and Guinean-American guard Russell Robinson (185-86) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aris moved-up to fourth place. Kavala lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with six games lost. They share it with Apollon Patras. Aris are looking forward to face league's leader AEK Athens on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kavala will play against Olympiacos (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
