Regular Season Round 8: Olesnica - Otmuchow 95-60

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Olesnica (2-6) outscored at home higher ranked Otmuchow (3-5) 95-60 on Saturday. Olesnica forced 22 Otmuchow turnovers. The best player for the winners was Kacper Kuta (191-94) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Grzegorz Kaczmarek (193-83) chipped in 19 points. Four Olesnica players scored in double figures. Power forward Artur Barycza (195-86) produced 4 points and 10 rebounds and Krzysztof Wilk (201-90) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olesnica moved-up to tenth place in Group D. Otmuchow at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Olesnica will face higher ranked Miedzychod (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
