Regular Season Round 17: Hiroshima L. - Shimane SM 76-123

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Shimane Magic (10-6) crushed on the road 12th ranked Hiroshima L. (1-12) 123-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Shimane Magic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-27 free shots (92.6 percent) during the game. Shimane Magic forced 22 Hiroshima L. turnovers and outrebounded them 42-22 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hiroshima L.'s players. American players dominated the game. Forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Josh Davis (203-91, college: San Diego St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and forward Adam Herman (199-91, college: Concordia, OR) added 23 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hiroshima L.Hiroshima L.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Shimane Magic have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Hiroshima L. lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
