Regular Season Round 7: Bologna - Brindisi 55-46

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Bologna (4-2) defeated at home bottom-ranked Brindisi (0-6) 55-46 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bologna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bologna outrebounded Brindisi 47-28 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for power forward Chiara Cadoni (182-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds. Forward Giulia Occhipinti (181-88) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Bologna's coach Matteo Lolli allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international swingman Valentina Siccardi (182-82) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Lorena Toscano (168-92) added 12 points in the effort for Brindisi. Bologna moved-up to fourth place in A2. Brindisi at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with six games lost. Bologna will face higher ranked San Pietro (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brindisi will play against Viareggio (#14) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
