Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Arkadikos and 12th ranked Apollon Patras had identical 1-5 record. But Apollon Patras was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Arkadia 76-56 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Arkadikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 73.7 percentage. American point guard Anthony Ireland (175-91, college: Loyola Mary) fired 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Dutch-British guard Devon Van Oostrum (190-93, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Dimitris Verginis (194-87, agency: Interperformances) produced 14 points and American point guard Darren Duncan (182-88, college: Merrimack) added 5 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Arkadikos (2-5) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with AGOR and Trikalla. Apollon Patras lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Kavala. Arkadikos is looking forward to face higher ranked PAOK (#9) in Thessaloniki in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Apollon Patras will play on the road against Nea Kifisia (#6) in Athens and is hoping to win this game.
