Regular Season Round 9: Nancy - Monaco 80-81

Seventeenth-ranked Sluc Nancy (1-7) used its home court advantage to challenge sixth ranked Monaco (6-3). The visitors from Monaco managed to secure only one-point victory 81-80. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 7-point deficit before their 27-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. Monaco made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (200-84, college: Hofstra) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) who recorded 20 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import point guard Derwin Kitchen (194-86, college: Florida St.) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Monaco moved-up to third place, which they share with Le Mans. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the seventeenth position with seven games lost. Monaco's next round opponent will be Chalons-Reims (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. Sluc Nancy will play against Olympique Antibes (#8) and hope to win that game.
