Regular Season Round 9: Estudiantes B - Real Canoe 57-86

Date: November 21, 2015
There was no surprise in Madrid where 8th ranked Estudiantes B (2-4) was crushed by sixth ranked Real Canoe (4-2) 86-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Real Canoe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Real Canoe forced 29 Estudiantes B turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Ignacio Fort (200-83) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Center Javier Perez (202-79) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Real Canoe players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Polish power forward Bartlomiej Pietras (206-98, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Alberto Maura (198-98) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Canoe moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Azuqueca. Estudiantes B lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. Real Canoe will face league's second-placed Albacete at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Estudiantes B will play against the league's leader Quintanar (#1) and hope to win that game.
