Regular Season Round 17: Iwate Big Bulls - Fukushima 67-70

A very interesting game took place in Iwate. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (8-7) to third ranked Fukushima (9-4) 70-67 on Saturday evening. Iwate Big Bulls were ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 43-38 second half run of Fukushima. The best player for the winners was American swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who scored 31 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Joseph Taylor (202-85, college: Wyoming) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fukushima maintains third place with 9-4 record having just three points less than leader Sendai 89ers, which they share with Toyama Grouses and Akita NH. Iwate Big Bulls at the other side keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Fukushima will have a break next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play again at home against Fukushima (#3) and hope to win that game.
