Date: November 21, 2015
The game with biggest result difference took place in David. Local Toros (5-3) beat 5th ranked Panteras (3-5) 95-81 on Saturday night. Toros shot 32 for 53 from the free-throw line, while Panteras only scored fourteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Panteras 43-27 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international point guard Joel Munoz (183-80, agency: Paris Global Sports) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and naturalized Honduran center Pedro Salazar (205-72) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. Swingman Luis Ibarra (188-85) responded with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and naturalized American point guard Bradley Turner (183-89, college: Clayton St.) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Four Panteras players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toros keep a position of league leader, which they share with Correcaminos and Caballos. Panteras lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with five games lost. Toros will meet at home Aguilas (#4) in the next round. Panteras will play against the league's leader Caballos in Aguadulce and hope to secure a win.
