We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Takamatsu FA (5-8) edged on the road 8th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (5-10) 72-71 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American players dominated the game. Forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) contributed with 8 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Donnavan Kirk (206-91, college: Miami, FL) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. Five Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Takamatsu FA moved-up to eighth place. Fukuoka Rizing lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Takamatsu FA will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against Takamatsu FA (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
