Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (4-5) was edged at home by seventh ranked JDA Dijon (5-3) 69-66 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 26-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American guard C.J. Williams (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. His fellow American import power forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) contributed with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Steven Smith (203-83, college: La Salle) answered with 16 points and international Wilfried Yeguete (201-91, college: Florida, agency: Beo Basket) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Pau-Lacq-Orthez. JDA Dijon moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Strasbourg and Orleans. Loser Pau-Lacq-Orthez dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. JDA Dijon will face Cholet Basket (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against JSF Nanterre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
