The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Dandenong Rangers' (4-4) road loss to fifth ranked Bendigo Spirit (6-5) 49-63 on Sunday. The game without a history. Bendigo Spirit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bendigo Spirit forced 21 Dandenong Rangers turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) who led her team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Kelly Wilson (170-84) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. At the losing side the former international guard Stephanie Cumming (178-90) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Annalise Pickrel (190-92, college: Michigan St., agency: LBM Management) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Bendigo Spirit maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Loser Dandenong Rangers keep the sixth position with four games lost. Bendigo Spirit will face Adelaide Lightning (#8) on the road in the next round. Dandenong Rangers will play against the league's second-placed Sydney Uni Flames and hope to win that game.
