Regular Season Round 9: Arenys - Sant Lluis 81-50

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Arenys' (3-6) home victory over bottom-ranked Sant Lluis (0-7) 81-50 on Sunday. The game without a history. Arenys led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sant Lluis to just 5 points in third quarter. Arenys forced 20 Sant Lluis turnovers. The best player for the winners was Dutch center Terrence Bieshaar (208-97) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Artur Grau (182-89) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Five Arenys players scored in double figures. Arenys' coach Cesar Saura felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Alberto Artiles (190-97) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and center Lluis Piris (-83) added 8 points respectively. Arenys maintains ninth place in Group C-A with 3-6 record. Sant Lluis lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with seven games lost. Arenys will face higher ranked Barbera (#6) in Barcelona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sant Lluis will play on the road against Cornella (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
