Regular Season Round 9: Castelldefels - Castellbisbal 73-69

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Castellbisbal (3-6) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Castelldefels (5-4) 73-69 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 26-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Castelldefels outrebounded Castellbisbal 29-16. Castellbisbal was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Marc Sese (188-93) who scored 21 points. Guard Jaume Torres (187-83) chipped in 21 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Sergi Sole (199-94) who recorded 18 points and guard Felix Lopez (190-85) added 17 points respectively. Castellbisbal's coach Raul Martinez tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Castelldefels moved-up to second place in Group C-B, which they share with Santfeliuenc and Igualada. Castellbisbal lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Castelldefels will face AEC Collblanc (#5) in L´Hospitalet in the next round. Castellbisbal will play on the road against the league's second-placed Santfeliuenc in Sant Feliu and hope to win that game.
