Very expected game when 10th ranked Costa Masnaga (2-5) lost at home to sixth ranked Albino (5-2) 63-53 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 23-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Albino dominated on the defensive end, holding Costa Masnaga to just 7 points in first quarter. They held Costa Masnaga to an opponent 18.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Costa Masnaga 47-36 including 35 on the defensive glass. Costa Masnaga was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Laura Fumagalli (178-85) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Albino moved-up to third place in A2. Newly promoted Costa Masnaga dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Albino will face Pordenone (#6) at home in the next round. Costa Masnaga will play against Scrivia (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
