There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Andratx (2-6) beat higher ranked IF Air Europa (4-4) in S'Arenal 68-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Andratx. IF Air Europa was better in fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian power forward Nina Djokovic (184-87, college: Bethel, TN) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Maria Ylenia Manzanares (175-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Andratx's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Cameroonian Ramses Lonlack-Nimpa (172-89, college: Memphis) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Maria Espana (180-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for IF Air Europa. Andratx maintains twelfth position in Group B with 2-6 record. Loser IF Air Europa keeps the seventh place with four games lost. Andratx will face higher ranked UCAM Jairis (#4) in Alcantarilla in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
