The game in Minsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Sozh-GGU (6-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Gorizont II (2-4). Sozh-GGU did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-67. The game was mostly controlled by Sozh-GGU. Gorizont II was better in fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Sozh-GGU forced 21 Gorizont II turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Katsiaryna Nialepka (178-93) who scored that evening 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Natalia Rusak (180-84) supported her with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Sozh-GGU players scored in double figures. Even 9 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals by guard Volha Gromik (180-93) did not help to save the game for Gorizont II. Center Ekaterina Karchevskaya (183-98) added 14 points for the hosts. Gorizont II's coach let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sozh-GGU have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Gorizont II lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with four games lost. Sozh-GGU's next round opponent will be Gorizont (#4) in Minsk. Gorizont II will play on the road against the league's leader Olimpia GrGAU in Grodno and hope to win that game.
