Regular Season Round 8: Bayi R. - Zhejiang CB 81-85

Not a big story in a game in Ningbo where 12th ranked Bayi Rockets (3-5) were defeated by ninth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (5-3) 85-81 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 26-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. Bayi Rockets were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists and the former international JinHui Ding (204-89) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Forward Yuchen Zou (197-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Shuo Han (196-86) scored 27 points and 4 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shandong FB. Loser Bayi Rockets dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will face higher ranked Guandong Tigers (#3) in Dongguan in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bayi Rockets will play on the road against DongGuan Leopards (#8) and hope to win that game.
