Date: November 22, 2015
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (5-2) smashed at home 9th ranked Hapoel Eilat (3-5) 99-73. Hapoel Jerusalem players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Hapoel Eilat helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Bar Timor (190-92, agency: Avi Zilberman) supported him with 23 points. Four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks by Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (210-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Eilat. American Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: Comsport) added 15 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi Rishon. Hapoel Eilat at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem's next round opponent will be Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#8) on the road where they are favorite. Hapoel Eilat will play against Hapoel Holon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
