Very important is a road loss of third ranked Fukushima (9-5) against sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (9-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Fukushima was defeated by Iwate Big Bulls in a tough game in Iwate 63-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fukushima. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) supported him with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Even 23 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by point guard Masaya Karimata (178-88) did not help to save the game for Fukushima. American swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) added 17 points and 7 rebounds. Iwate Big Bulls maintains sixth position with 9-7 record, which they share with Yokohama BC and Kanazawa Samuraiz. Fukushima at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Shiga L-Stars. Iwate Big Bulls will play against league's second-placed Akita Happinets at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fukushima will play against Saitama Broncos and hopes to get back on the winning track.
