Regular Season Round 8: Fujian QB - Beijing Ducks 113-102

There was a surprise result in Jinjiang where fourteenth ranked Fujian (4-4) beat higher ranked Beijing Ducks (4-4) 113-102 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 113-102. Fujian made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Fujian especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. Beijing Ducks were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Lebanese swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) who added 27 points and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) responded with 30 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) scored 18 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Fujian moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Beijing Ducks. Fujian will face league's second-placed Sichuan BW on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
