Regular Season Round 18: Fukuoka Rizing - Takamatsu FA 73-61

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (6-10) defeated at home 8th ranked Takamatsu FA (5-9) 73-61 on Sunday. The game without a history. Fukuoka Rizing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Fukuoka Rizing forced 23 Takamatsu FA turnovers. Guard Taishiro Shimizu (183-81) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to eighth place. Loser Takamatsu FA dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Takamatsu FA will play against Shimane Magic (#4) and hope to win that game.
